The attoworld-team is delighted to welcome Joana Siromahova. Joana studied Physics (B.Sc.) at the Faculty of Physics, Sofia University, where her bachelor’s thesis focused on chirped pulse amplification and its application to a Yb-laser system. For her M.Sc., she investigated the Gouy phase shift of a Gauss-Laguerre laser beam, experimentally verifying the equation for the additional phase through optical measurements and data analysis.
Joana gained professional experience as a test and application engineer at Ewellix, Festo, and Melexis, developing and executing automated tests for linear motion systems, sensors, and actuators.
Joana now joins the field-resolved infrared spectroscopy team as a laser engineer to contribute to the development and optimization of advanced laser systems within the CMF project.
