Ferenc Krausz has received multiple distinguished Hungarian honors in recent weeks.
On the occasion of Hungary’s national holiday on March 15, he was awarded the Széchenyi Prize, one of the country’s highest recognitions in science. The award ceremony took place in the Hungarian Parliament and was attended by President Tamás Sulyok, Prime Minister Viktor Orbán and Speaker of the National Assembly László Kövér.
Earlier in March, Ferenc Krausz was also honored with the Jedlik Ányos Prize, awarded by the Hungarian Intellectual Property Office for outstanding inventive achievements. The ceremony was held at the Museum of Fine Arts Budapest, where the award was accepted on his behalf by Péter Dombi.
In addition, Gábor István Kiss, Communications Director of the Frontiers Foundation, received the Táncsics Mihály Prize in recognition of outstanding achievements in journalism and media. The ceremony took place on March 13 at the Vigadó Budapest.
