Congratulations to Maciej Kowalczyk! The Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange has awarded him with a grant of over 250.000 Euros. With this funding Maciej will return to the Wrocław University of Science and Technology, where he made his doctorate in 2019.
He will start research working on the project called “Ultrastable single-cycle mid-infrared laser sources” in the Department of Field Theory, Electronic Circuits and Optoelectronics at the Faculty of Electronics, Photonics and Microsystems. In his new position, Maciej is also head of a newly established Max-Planck Partner group of the MPQ, further strengthening the bond between attoworld and Wrocław University. In this context, Maciej will continue to work closely with Alexander Weigel’s group.
