Under joint supervision of the Budapest University of Technology, the CMF and the LMU, Tamás Kotán has now finished his bachelor thesis “Automation of field-resolved infrared spectroscopy Measurements” and successfully defended. In this framework Tamás has built a SQL database with a web-based data management user interface. It lays the foundation for a centralized, scalable, and maintainable infrastructural software supporting the rapidly evolving and versatile infrasampler development.
Tamás is now the first employee of the Centre for Molecular Fingerprinting (CMF) who, in cooperation with the universities, made his degree in the field of molecular fingerprinting.
Tamás started his CMF career last July in Dr. Alexander Weigel’s team as a Junior Software Developer. He worked in the Budapest office as a full-time employee until the end of September. Then in October, he moved to Garching with the Erasmus program where he is now collaborating even closer with the attoworld-team.
Moreover, the story is not ending here. Tamás will continue to contribute to the joint efforts of CMF and attoworld as a full-time CMF employee.
